Your brother Scott in West Richland, WA.
This is great. The family can learn a great deal from your hard work and it seems to be time consuming for you at times. I loved the photo of your father with Zoe. I will pop in often to see what you have added on.
Love and Prayers,
Your sister-in-law Shirley

Just wanted to let Peter Harvey know that my Harvey family originated in Crossmaglen too. I have a baptism certificate copy of 1858 for my great-grandfather. It’s from the register of baptisms in the Parish of Upper Creggan. The child was Thomas Harvey, son of Michael Harvey and Catherine Lennon. The extract came from St. Patrick’s Church, Crossmaglen. My records show that this Thomas Harvey was married to Margaret Larkin and that their child (my grandfater) was baptized in New York City in 1886. Good luck with your search!

Hello to all the descendant of William Harvey, formerly of Worcester, England and his wife, Judith Osborne, who located to Chadd’s Ford, PA in 1714. Their son, Isaac, then moved to Va and NC. His offspring traveled to Ohio and onto Indiana in the early 1800s. I’ve traced the family tree back two generations to William’s grandfather, Richard. Would love to hear from any of Isaac’s brats out there or anyone else related to my branch.

Hello, My g-grandmother was Hester Jane Harvey, b. 14 Nov 1964 in Watertown, NY, USA and died 15 Mar 1944 in Santa Monica, CA., USA. Her husband Marshall Jackson b. July 1861 in Ontario, Canada, d. Jan 1917 by a criminal he was escorting back to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on the train near the border. Hester Jane Harvey then took her 3 daughters and moved to Santa Monica, CA. Her son, Burnett Harvey Jackson (my grandfather) remained in Manitoba and there he met my grandmother Lenora Shepherd.
Hester’s parents were John Casey Harvey, b. abt. 1840 in NY, USA and died in Pembina Cty, N.D., USA. He married Elizabeth Burnett, b. abt. 1840 in Kingston, NY, USA. Hester’s grandfather was E. Harvey (no other information). It seems reasonable to approx. his birth (E. Harvey) was on/bef. 1820. I know that Hester had 2 sisters Sarah and Ellen and 4 brothers James Harvey b. 7 Apr 1854 in NY. The other 3 brothers I have only their names but no other facts, they were Samuel, John and William Harvey.
If you have any Harvey information that might help me, please e-mail me at: Sandyrow@aol.com Thank you.
My father Sydney Harvey SR (deceased in 1998) did not speak much about his dad whose name I believe was Jeremiah Harvey. My dad and his brothers (Emmanuel and Joseph Harvey – deceased) grew up with their mom (Ann Bailey) on 110 Rum Lane in Kingston, Jamaica. We believe were related to the One of Harvey brothers that came to Jamaica and settled in Hanover (Harvey River) but we are not sure which one of the brothers we are related to.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Maybe all the Harveys originally from Jamaica may need to meet in Hanover River to determine who our ancestors were.
If we can identify the 7 brothers that originally came to Jamaica and settled at Harvey River, then we can refer to the Jamaica Gleaner archive and possible find out additional information.
Just a thought!

Her father was “from Maine”, supposedly Down East Maine and may have had some American indian blood. He married Lydia Stuart in Gloucester and died at sea of pneumonia and was buried at sea. Lydia then married a Frank Bernard so my great grandmother then became Mary Elizabeth Harvey Bernard. She married William Farmer and died in Boothbay Maine in 1922. Re: Martin Hervey & Emma Bowden (67 & 68) & Zibetha (117) Our line stems from Martin Harvey born 1854 in Gwinnear. son of Martin Harvey & Emma Bowden. Can you go further back than Martin Harvey born 1780 presumably around Gwinnear?? We’re in Australia heading to England in a few weeks and wouldn’t mind hunting around the Cornwall area for relevant gravestones, churches etc.

Sounds all very interesting, My great aunts and uncles share alot of information with me and they had an uncle who went to Cuba also I can’t remember his name..the problem we have is that there is so much so my cousin Ilesha who has also posted on here are going to research it. I know my great great grandfather Thomas Harvey( who was a white man) was an author who wrote a book with Joseph Sturge regarding the state of “negro population” as it is put. I believe he travelled around the caribbean gathering information until he settled down and married a black woman who I believe was Black Portugese (don’t quote me on this, I can’t remember where she come in to the picture but she does and that was the start of my branch of the Harvey family. My great Uncle and aunts remember their grandfather and there are many amusing stories!!! keep me updated with what you find my email is email@example.com

There is a lot of Harvey’s in the states and in England. July 20, 2011
Got you. But regardless your roots stared in Hanover. This is why; two brothers came from England in the 1840′S. James and John Harvey. They were bookkeepers and then became Lawyers. They settled in Jamaica and married to the natives. They were the first to married to black women on the Island. They bought land with a river running through it and named it Harvey River. He then named the entire district Harvey River. Lorna Goodison wrote a book “From Harvey River” that’s where your roots started. You can also check the archive online with the Jamaica Gleaner to trace your roots. I will send you info as I receive
Ask you parents what part of Jamaica they’re from and also what’s your grandfather’s name,
I wish we would all check for updates more often that way their won’t be any confusion with the information posted. This way we can connect the dots better and much faster.
N.B To help in sorting out the information when directing a question/statement to someone, please put the post number associated with the person you’re directing it to.

Hello. Doing some Harvey River family research for my significant other….he is descendent from a Martha Jane Harvey that the family says is from Harvey River. Could she be the Martha that is the daughter of William Harvey and Frances Duhaney? We don’t have a birth date but she married Samuel Payne and they had their first child in 1892. Does this ring a bell? Samuel Payne was a cultivator in Friendship, Hanover.

I have other brothers and sisters in the UK where I have lived since my teens. I have a cousins who is related to my father side of the family, she lives in St Catherine, we keep in contact constantly. Recently, where I am employed 3 more people turned up with the same surname, only to be told that they knew my father as well as my cousin who lived in Hughendan, he has since deceased (we are also related on my fathers side). It is so amazing.. I am aware that the Harvey family is very large, and that as far as my grandmother told me, related in more ways than one. There are many cousins out there in JA, that I dont know, many in the USA, canada, I would love to hear from you, if you are from this side of the Harvey family. My gran mother passed away in 2007, she could tell you who came from where, she had already told me that there is a river named after the Harvey family. God Bless.

I am Lancelot Harvey born 1956 in Trelawny, Jamaica. My father is Lucius Harvey who was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica probably in the 1930s. His mother’s name was Maisy Dunn but I do not know his father’s (my grandfather’s) name, though it was surname Harvey. I believe we are related to the Harvey’s of Hanover. I am brown as are my kids, so suspect there are white people in my ancestrey. I live in Canada now but would like to know more about my father’s family. My mother was Eugennie Samuels of Trelawny. Many people nicknamed my father “White”.

Hi, it is so nice ti know that I have more family. Harvey, is m Mother’s maiden name. I was wondering what you you have on the Harveys that settled in Pennsylvania. All the info I have gotten only goes back to war between the states.
The other question I have is, is it a Harvey trait to be born with crooked pinky fingers? Or do I need to look into a very touchy subject, my grandmama family. To say the least no one is happy with me eitherway. But, the reality is I am very sick and it doesn’t seem to come from my paternal side of the family.
I would also love to have more family than the 5 people that I grew up be told were the only ones left.
Thank you so much.
Amy Harey Heidler Quick
I think I forgot to mention that my grandfather’s name is James Harvey of Mansfield, Pa. I know that is not his birth place but, I do know that he served in WWII. Again, Thank you so much.
I look forward to having more family in my life because the other side is German and I hate to say it but, well yeah know if you don’t have anything nice to say shut up. LOL

P.S. I’ll be doing some research of my own to find out about my great granddad.
My name is Shanna Harvey. My father was James (Jim) David Harvey bApr15/1943 in the Toronto, ON area, he was fostered by a number of families. He met his biological mother – nee Harvey – once and she did not wish to continue a relationship with my dad. I understand my grandmother may have been a nurse in the Toronto area, was originally from England and was described as being quite petite. I believe she had 1-2 brothers who did meet with my dad on a few occasions after I was born. I have been told that my grandmother had possibly been rumoured to have dated an asian interin at the hospital and that her pregnancy with my father may have been keep ‘under the radar’. It would be great to at least know her name and my family background — I have no intention of being a bother or seeking anything other than comfort in knowing my ancestry. If you have any information I would love to hear from you. Thank you.
My name is Glenroy Harvey. Recently I had the honor or meeting my great grandfather Kieth Harvey. He told me the Harvey’s in Jamaica started with a man from Scotland. He also said there is a place called Harvey River in Jamaica. I am really interested in my past and finding out if I have anymore family out there.
Does any know of a man named Keith Harvey of Hanover, JA
I’m trying to find a Harvey native American connection. My gggrandmother Mary Ann Harvey born about 1823 and died in Albemarle Virginia in 1895 was by what were told 100% Native American . She was either Cherokee or monacan Indian. I’ve seen pictures of her daughter Sarah f Gibson and have been told by my grandmother (god bless her should) and her brother who is still living that Sarah was 50% since the Gibson side of the family has no naive American in there line it had to come from the Harvey side. As it would be other then Mary Ann Harvey birth, death and when she was married no other information has been found. So if anyone on this site can help me please send information to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Since my last post on August 17, 2012 I still haven’t found any information on my ggg grandmother Mary Ann Harvey born ABT 1823 parents or siblings. I did find out from the Cherokee nation that there is no such thing as a Cherokee princess. Cherokees translation for wife’s or daughters of chiefs were “beloved women”. They sai the term Cherokee princess was used by whites who married Indians and/or blacks to deal with stigma of doing so. So I did some further read each and found a Mary Ann Harvey from veres Jamaica that was brought through Virginia on a slave ship in 1826 by a James Henry Mitchell. If I could find a connection to he Gibson or Gentry families in this slave maybe she is my ggg grandmother. If anyone has any information about a Mary Ann Harvey born about 1825 married to a Richard Obie Gibson in 1849 and died in Albermarle Virginia in 1895 please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

My name is Jack Harvey. My ancestors came from Marion County Ohio. My g-g-g- grandfather James Thomas Harvey might have been a Justice of the Peace there. I’m researching his father whom I believe was named William Harvey. He came to Ross County Ohio around 1800. He may have been originally from Fredrick County Virginia. Anyone have information?
This is a question to Terry Harvey Clements. I am the granddaughter of John W Harvey born on Oct 17, 1843. He was married to the last and had 2 children. My mother is the last living child by this man. If you know anything about him such as to his parent, please leet me know because according to my mother, she knows nothing about him. I did find a possible link to someone other than his father or mother in Missouri.
I now have a Family tree of 464 names and half of those names are Harveys, Norret and Flavious is also included, Please contact me to get a connection, David Harvey and William Harvey is the Great ,and great great Grandfathers, Let us jointly build on the tree.

Hi, its nice piece of writing regarding media print, we all be aware of
media is a impressive source of data.
I am looking for a copy of the book Arnold Harvey and Descendants , 1754-1963 by Ms.A. C. Oliver. I am related to Arnold Harvey Catherine Wood Harvey and Andrew Ballentine – A217. My grandmother was Hattie Lee Ballentine, daughter of Catherine Wood Harvey and Andrew Ballentine. Hattie Ballentine married James William Mims on February 23, 1908. My Father, their oldest child, was Dr. James Lloyd Mims. My birth name was Virginia Ann Mims, born in Florence, S. C., August 18, 1939. All of this information can be found on Page 72 and 78 of the Arnold Harvey Book. I also understand that there is a later version of the 1964 edition by Mrs. Oliver. Although I am in the DAR through my Mother’s (Virginia Maynor Mims) Moravian descendant, I would like to identfy decendants on my Grandmother Mims’s side that would be considered Patriots of the Revolutionary War. My cousin Elizabeth Mims Pinnell has joined a DAR Chapter in South Carolina through the Arnold Harvey connection. She is the one who wants a copy of the book. My family book is missing and I was lucky to find one at Amazon. Please send me any infomation that can further enlighten Elizabeth and me on our Harvey Connections and if there are other books available….and if there are any family reunions or websites that we would find of great interest. Many thanks to all. Ginger Alexander Neustadt. Currently elected to the Board of Trustees of Meredith College in Raleigh, N.C. A great school for young ladies and those interested in returning to college. I graduated at age 65 in 2005. It is never too late!

Adsense is actually a really great program for those who maintain blogs, as blogs get updated all the time and the Adsense
possibilities are almost limitless. In addition, the observing surgeons could transmit their comments to the operating surgeon, who could read them on the Google
Glass monitor. But it seems Memorial Day wasn’t important enough to Google.

So that’s why this post is perfect. Thanks!
